esports: Konami launches an eFootball competition with its 7 Serie A TIM partner clubs

Konami is activating its partnerships with its seven partner clubs in the Serie A TIM (AC Monza, AC Milan, AS Roma, Atalanta BC, FC Inter Milan, SS Lazio and SSC Napoli) and is launching an esports competition on its eFootball video game (formerly named Pro Evolution Soccer) on 25/11/2022.

The competition, which will be known as "Coppa eFootball Italia", will be played between December 2022 and May 2023. "The tournament will see the integration of three different players forming a team to represent each of the competing clubs. These are: a selected youth team player; a professional esports player currently part of their existing squad; a club fan who wins an online qualification tournament," explained the Japanese video game publisher.

The finals will be held at Napoli ComicCon on the weekend of 28/04 to 01/05/2023. Dedicated broadcasts of the competition will be available on Konami's "eFootball" YouTube channel.
