Smart Cities & Sport Summit 2014 in Lausanne from 05 to 07/11/2014

The WUOC (World Union of Olympic Cities) has organised the first edition of the "Smart Cities & Sport Summit" conference in Lausanne (Switzerland) from 05 to 07/11/2014. The event takes place on the premises of the Lausanne International Institute for Management Development (IMD).

Smart Cities Conference & Sport Summit 2014 offers representatives of local communities and states to reflect and discuss innovative strategies to link sport and the development of cities during the hosting of major sporting events and how to develop activities and sports facilities in a given area.

• The discussion will be led by representatives of the WUOC, academics, consultants, representatives of Olympic sponsors and representatives of Olympic cities, such as London in 2012 and Buenos Aires (candidate for the Summer Olympics in 2020, organisers of the 2018 Youth Olympic Games).
