Qatar 2022: with 32.6 million followers on social media, Brazil overtakes France (32.5 million)

With 32.61 million followers on its Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts, the Brazilian team (CBF) is the most followed on social media among the 32 national teams participating in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, on 01/12/2022.

The Brazilian team, which has gained nearly 3 million followers (+10%) since 01/11, has overtaken the French team, which counts 32.53 million followers across these four social networks combined (+9%). Unlike Brazil, France has an account on TikTok, which is also the most followed (7.3 million followers) of the 17 teams with an official account on the platform.

England (28.71 million followers, +5.4%) and Mexico (27.16 million followers, +5.5%), the only other teams to have more than 20 million followers, remain in third and fourth place respectively among the most popular teams on social media.
