EFL: clubs launch a series of initiatives to support households affected by the economic crisis

The English Football League has launched the "Together - supporting communities" initiative in England and Wales "to support the communities and fans of the 72 league clubs during the cost-of-living crisis" until the end of the 2022-23 season, announced the EFL on 30/11/2022.

As part of the project, EFL clubs (responsible for the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One and Sky Bet League Two) will provide matchday support to "help people in challenging economic times and will contribute towards the Government's 'Help for Households' initiative." This support will take the form of "foodbanks, clothing donations and even 'heat hubs' for members of disadvantaged communities," added the body.

eBay (online shopping, USA), Lifebuoy (soap, ENG) and Papa John's (pizzas, USA), partners of the EFL, will support this programme by proposing ticketing and catering offers for the remainder of the 2022-23 season.
