Juventus FC: UEFA's Club Financial Control Body opens an investigation into the club

The Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) has opened an investigation into Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) for potential breaches of club licensing and financial fair play regulations, announced the UEFA body on 01/12/2022.

"The CFCB First Chamber will cooperate with (Italian) national authorities and focus on the alleged financial violations that were recently made public," explained UEFA.

"Upon proposal of the chairman Andrea Agnelli all the members of the board of directors present at the meeting (28/11/2022) declared to forego their office," announced Juventus on 28/11/2022.

This collective resignation followed the accounting manipulations deemed illegal and denounced by the Italian Financial Markets Authority (Consob/Commissione nazionale per le società e la Borsa) for the last few financial periods of the Turin club, which is listed on the stock exchange. Irregularities concerning the treatment of salaries and the costs of "cross transfers" between clubs are among the allegations.
