Tennis/ITF: Tennium to organise the Hopman Cup (mixed tournament) in Nice from 2023 to 2027

Tennium, an event and marketing agency specialised in tennis, has been awarded the rights to host the Hopman Cup, a mixed international tennis competition (exhibition), for five years (2023-2027), announced the International Tennis Federation on 06/12/2022.

The Hopman Cup was held in Perth (Australia) between 1989 and 2019. For its last edition in 2019, this international mixed tournament generated a turnover of $2m (€1.6m). The competition ceased to be organised following the Covid-19 pandemic in late 2019.

Tennium, in which Frenchmen Sébastien Grosjean and Richard Gasquet are among the main shareholders, will therefore revive the Hopman Cup from 2023 in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes, FRA), with the first event organised on the clay courts of the Nice Lawn Tennis Club (LTC) sports complex from 19 to 23/07/2023. "The specifications provide for a 10-year contract: five main years and five additional years (2028-2032) according to a certain number of criteria.
