Germany: DAZN & Amazon extend their Champions League broadcasting rights for the 2024-2027 cycle

The OTT platform DAZN and the VoD platform Prime Video (Amazon) have extended their broadcasting rights for the Champions League in Germany for the 2024-2027 cycle with the Swiss agency TEAM Marketing, according to German media reports on 07/12/2022. Amazon made the information official on the same day.

The Prime Video platform will continue to broadcast the Tuesday night fixture on an exclusive basis, while DAZN will continue to broadcast all matches of the competition with the exception of the Tuesday fixture.

Amazon currently owns the broadcasting rights, in Germany, to the Champions League Tuesday night top fixture over the 2021-2024 cycle, for an estimated amount of €110m per season according to German media. DAZN owns the broadcast rights in this same territory for all Champions League matches, with the exception of the Tuesday night fixture. The free-to-air rights to the final are held by the German public audiovisual group ZDF.
