Champions League (2024-2027): Canal+ acquires TV rights in Austria, Blue extends them in Switzerland

Canal+ has acquired part of the broadcasting rights in Austria for the European football cups (Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League) for the 2024-2027 cycle, announced the pay-TV group on 08/12/2022. This is Canal+'s first sports acquisition in the Austrian market.

Canal+ "is very pleased to have been awarded the exclusivity of the best Champions League first pick game played on Wednesday and the best Europa League or Europa Conference League first pick game in each matchweek. Following the game, Canal+ will also broadcast the big post-game show with highlights of all the games of the matchweek. Additionally, Canal+ will be the only operator broadcasting all three finals of the UEFA top club competitions," said the group.

The allocation of the other lots in Austria has not yet been announced as of 08/12/2022. During the 2021-2024 cycle, all matches will be broadcast on Sky.
