Poland: Ekstraklasa launches official app for smartphones and tablets

The T-Mobile Ekstraklasa, the Polish first division, has launched its first official application for smartphones and tablets on 24/10/2014. The application is available as a free download for iOS and Android platforms. It reinforces the digital media of the Polish league, which consists of the Ekstraklasa.org website, the video-streaming website Ekstraklasa.tv, plus official accounts on Facebook and Twitter.

On the application, users can view, for free, match summaries of the Polish championship, the best goals and saves, interviews, news, statistics and rankings. They can also access the live stream of the matches. Finally, the application provides the ability to set up alerts to receive news and analysis on your favourite Polish club.

  • The video-streaming website Ekstraklasa.tv and the mobile application of the Polish league are joint ventures between the Ekstraklasa SA -- the company that manages the Professional Football League of Poland -- the Polish website media group Onet, and the Swiss media group Ringier Axel Springer Media AG.
