Australian Open: Sony Pictures Networks renews broadcasting rights in India (2023-2025)

The pay-TV group Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has renewed its rights to broadcast the Australian Open Grand Slam tournament in India and the Indian subcontinent (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) for the 2023-2025 cycle, announced Tennis Australia on 09/12/2022.

The new deal gives SPN exclusive TV and digital rights to the Australian Open. SPN will also broadcast the tournament live on its OTT platform SonyLIV. Sony Pictures Networks has held the broadcasting rights to the Australian Open since 2013.

"The Australian Open has consistently been the most watched tennis Grand Slam in India over the past few years. During 2022, close to 23 million viewers watched the live coverage of the event on Sony Sports Network. We hope to repeat this success as well as continue to build the steadily growing tennis fanbase in India.
