Champions League: Sky extends part of its TV rights in Austria for the 2024-2027 cycle

Sky has extended part of its Champions League broadcasting rights in Austria for the 2024-2027 cycle, announced the pay-TV bouquet on 09/12/2022.

Sky will broadcast all Tuesday matches and eight of the nine Wednesday matches (the Wednesday fixture will be broadcast by the pay-TV group Canal+) exclusively on its channels and Sky X streaming service each season. Sky will also broadcast the final of the competition. "In addition to the live broadcast rights, the package also includes rights to clips and highlights," explained Sky.

Over the 2021-2024 cycle, all Champions League matches will be shown on Sky. The free-to-air commercial network ServusTV holds the non-exclusive live rights to the Wednesday fixture (plus highlights). It also has non-exclusive live rights to the top Europa League or Europa Conference League fixture. The Austrian public broadcaster ORF holds the rights to the second choice matches in the Europa League or Europa Conference League.
