Qatar 2022: quarter-finalists guaranteed to receive at least €17.6m from FIFA

Qualification for the 2022 World Cup quarter-finals guarantees each country's football federation/association a minimum of $17m (€16.2m as of 09/12/2022) from FIFA, to which a $1.5m (€1.4m) "contribution to preparation costs" (a fixed amount paid to each of the 32 national federations qualified for the finals) must be added, for a total of $18.5m (€17.6m).

The four federations that reach the semi-finals will receive the following sums depending on their performance:
⚽️ World Cup winners: $42m/€39.9m;
⚽️ Finalists: $30m/€28.5m;
⚽️ Third (winner of the match for third place): $27m/€25.7m;
⚽️ Fourth: $25m/€23.8m.

The total prize money to be shared by the federations of the 32 participating teams at the 2022 World Cup is $440m, or €418m.

France, which won the 2018 World Cup in Russia, provided the FFF with a sum of $38m, or €32.5m (as of 16/07/2018).
