Qatar 2022: adidas & FIFA present "Al Hilm" the World Cup ball to be used from the semi-finals

adidas and FIFA have presented "Al Hilm", the official ball for the final matches of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, on 12/12/2022. The ball will be used for the semi-finals (12 and 13/11), the match for third place (17/11) and the final (18/11).

"Al Hilm, which translates as 'The Dream' in Arabic, follows on from the official match ball of the group stages, Al Rihla, or 'The Journey'. Utilising the latest technological advances in ball design, Al Hilm includes the same unprecedented adidas 'Connected Ball' technology as Al Rihla, which has proven invaluable in helping match officials making faster and more accurate decisions during this World Cup," explained the body, of which adidas is a "FIFA Partner" (1^st level) until 2030.

"The ball was also designed with the environment at its heart - all components have been carefully considered, and Al Hilm is the first World Cup semi-finals and final ball made using only water-based inks and glues.
