Manchester City FC (Premier League) has launched a feasibility study for the development of "a best-in-class fan experience and a year-round entertainment and leisure destination at the Etihad Stadium (Manchester, ENG)," announced the club on 12/12/2022.

The feasibility study includes the following elements:
⚽️ The potential to introduce new entertainment experiences into the stadium, both on matchdays and non-matchdays
⚽️ The expansion of the North Stand, which could increase the capacity of the Etihad Stadium to more than 60,000 (from 53,480 currently) and which was already included in the stadium expansion project presented by the club in 2013
⚽️ The creation of a covered area called the "City Square", with food and drink outlets
⚽️ A new club shop, museum, a hotel and new reception areas

"A core principle of this is to ensure that Etihad Campus facilities (where the stadium, academy and club offices are located) are a significant source of community, employment, and economic opportunity for the local community and Manchester," explained the club.
