OL Groupe: a photovoltaic park installed at OL Vallée in collaboration with Engie & Reservoir Sun

OL Groupe, the French industrial energy group Engie and Resevoir Sun, a joint venture between the latter and the French electricity supplier GreenYellow, have unveiled a photovoltaic park at the OL Vallée leisure centre (Décines-Charpieu, FRA), announced Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) on 09/12/2022.

Engie and Resevoir Sun had become OL Vallée's "solar energy partners" on 08/01/2021. "The solar self-consumption system inaugurated today will make it possible to meet part of the electricity needs of the Groupama Stadium and the LDLC Arena and to save up to 2,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, in order to meet the new energy challenges and OL Groupe's objectives of reducing its environmental footprint as well as the use of fossil fuels," explained the Lyon club.

"Ultimately, this photovoltaic park built on a sports facility, with a surface area of approximately 50,000 m², the equivalent of seven football pitches - which makes it unique in Europe - will produce local, low-carbon electricity with a capacity of 12 GWH/year, corresponding to the annual energy consumption of 2,700 homes,…
