ACF Fiorentina: revenues of €233.2m (+45%) & net profit of €46.8m in 2021-22

ACF Fiorentina (Serie A TIM) posted revenues of €233.2m at the closing of its 2021-22 financial year (01/07/2021 to 30/06/2022), 45.1% more than the previous year (€160.7m). Fiorentina also posted a net profit of €46.8m, versus a loss of €10.4m a year earlier, according to the club on 08/12/2022.

The increase in revenue was almost exclusively due to an increase in capital gains on player transfers from €10.2m in 2021 to €114m in 2022, due in particular to the transfer of Serbian Dusan Vlahovic to Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) for €70m (excluding bonuses) in January 2022. Matchday revenues, supported by the gradual lifting of stadium capacity limits in Italy due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the 2021-22 season, also increased to €7.9m, up from a few thousand euros in the previous year.

By contrast, the club's other sources of revenue fell due to the deferral of part of the revenue from the 2019-20 season to the 2020-21 financial year. TV rights thus fell from €74.4m to €51.2m and commercial revenue from €49.8m to €36.6m. The club's EBITDA amounted to €122.8m, versus €37.4m in 2020-21.
