Brisbane 2032: Cindy Hook (USA) named CEO of the Olympic and Paralympic Organising Committee

Following six months of interviews with 50 candidates, the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee in Australia has appointed Cindy Hook to the position of CEO, on 12/12/2022. The American will take up the position "mid-February 2023."

Cindy Hook was previously based in Singapore as CEO of Deloitte Asia Pacific (consulting and auditing firm) until June 2022 and had previously worked for Deloitte in the USA and Australia. Hook moved to Sydney (AUS) in 2009 before becoming CEO of the Australian subsidiary in 2015.

"The opportunity to lead the Olympics and Paralympics is once in a lifetime. The idea of setting up the organisation, building the team, creating a vision and driving to a smooth delivery of Brisbane 2032 is very exciting and I expect it will be both challenging and rewarding. I am very excited for the next 10 years," said Hook.
