Russian-British businessman Maxim Demin, owner of AFC Bournemouth (Premier League), has sold his entire stake in the club (i.e. 100%) to the Black Knight Football and Entertainment consortium led by American Bill Foley, announced the various parties on 13/12/2022. The transaction has received all necessary approvals from the Premier League.

The consortium includes Cannae Holdings (USA), of which Bill Foley is chairman, which now owns 50.1% of Black Knight Football and Entertainment (acquired for $126m/€119.5m), and a group of minority shareholders, led by actor Michael B. Jordan and film producer Nullah Sarker. Bill Foley, also founder and owner of the Vegas Golden Knights NHL franchise (Las Vegas, Nevada, USA), will become chairman of AFC Bournemouth "with immediate effect". At the same time, he is a partner of John Textor in the US holding company Eagle Football Holdings, which is due to acquire Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) on 19/12/2022. Cannae Holdings and Bill Foley were among John Textor's initial financial backers for the project.
