France - Morocco (2-0), the second semi-final of the 2022 World Cup, drew an average of 20.69 million viewers, with a peak audience of 23.3 million, on the French private free-TV channel TF1, on Wednesday 14/12/2022 (kick-off at 20:00 CET), according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie.

The match posted an audience share of 66.4% (78% among 25-49 year olds, 81% among men between 25 and 49 and 83% among 15-34 year olds). The match was also broadcast on the pay-TV channel beIN Sports 1, whose audience was not communicated.

This is the fourth best TV audience (on a single channel) ever in France, behind the 2006 World Cup semi-final, Portugal - France on TF1 (22.6 million viewers; audience share: 76.7%), the final of the 2006 World Cup, France - Italy on TF1 (22.1 million; audience share: 80.3%) and the final of Euro 2016, Portugal - France on M6 (20.83 million; audience share: 72.9%).
