FIFA: adoption of a provisional four-year (2023-2026) budget of $11bn (€10.3bn)

The FIFA Council has approved a budget for the four-year cycle 01/01/2023 - 31/12/2026 that forecasts $11bn (€10.3bn) in revenue (excluding the Club World Cup) "of which a substantially increased proportion will be allocated to football investment, amounting to $9.7bn (€9.1bn)," announced the international Federation on 16/12/2022.

The world body confirmed that FIFA's revenues for the year 2022 (fourth and final year of the 2019-2022 cycle) will amount to $7.5bn (€7bn), which is $1bn (€0.93bn) more than estimated.

The FIFA Council, meeting in Doha (QAT) on the occasion of the 2022 World Cup, voted to invest $200m (€188m) in the "FIFA Talent Development Programme", managed by Arsène Wenger, chief of global football development, to ensure the smooth running of this initiative from 2023 to 2026.

"This ground-breaking initiative aims to create a sustainable legacy for long-term player development by helping each member association reach its full potential and ultimately give every talent a chance," explained FIFA.
