Argentina's victory over France (3-3, on penalties 4-2) in the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on 18/12/2022 will earn the Asociación del Fútbol Argentino (AFA) $42m (€39.9m) from FIFA.

The total sum to be shared by the football federations/associations of the 32 teams participating in the 2022 World Cup is $440m, or €418m. Each federation that qualifies for the 2022 World Cup finals will also receive $1.5m (€1.4m) as a "contribution to preparation costs", i.e. a total amount of $18.5m (€17.6m).

Winners of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, the French team had earned the FFF $38m (€32.5m) in prize money on 16/07/2018. As finalists during the 2022 edition, France will see its federation receive $30m (€28.5m).
