FC Lorient: Bill Foley (AFC Bournemouth) in negotiations with Loïc Féry to acquire 30% of the club

American Bill Foley, chairman of AFC Bournemouth (Premier League), and Loïc Féry, president of FC Lorient (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), are in negotiations for the former to acquire a strategic stake in the Breton club to the tune of 30% in the form of a capital increase, according to a report in the French regional daily Ouest France, on 19/12/2022.

"We have a multi-club concept. We are in negotiation with a Ligue 1 team and we're in exclusive negotiations with a first division team in Belgium. That would give us that kind of little triangle that we could move players back and forth.  We raised adequate funds to really fund all of these transactions. I am pretty excited about how much progress we are making. I look forward to doing a release as we get closer to finalisation on these other two acquisitions," said Foley to Sky Sports News on 15/12/2022.
