OneFootball, an international football media platform based in Germany, has made 62 redundancies as of early December 2022, according to information gathered by News Tank Football on 21/12/2022.

This number would represent approximately 11.5% of the platform's total workforce, which is currently reported to consist of 540 employees. OneFootball is said to have taken this decision due to the poor financial results of the "OneFootball Labs" Web3 joint venture.

OneFootball raised $300m (€283m) to support its Web3 expansion, and thus created "OneFootball Labs" in collaboration with the incubator Liberty City Ventures, the digital asset company Dapper Labs and the digital entertainment and blockchain company Animoca Brands, on 28/04/2022
