2023 MLS: regular season to start on 25/02, final matchday on 21/10/2023

The 2023 Major League Soccer regular season will begin on 25/02/2023 (Matchday 1) and end with "Decision Day" on 21/10/2023, announced MLS on 20/12/2022.

Key dates include:
• The week of 13-20/05/2023, titled "Rivalry Week", will feature "four days of the league's fiercest rivalry matchups"
• The MLS All-Star Game will be held on 19/07/2023 at the Audi Field (Washington, USA), home of DC United
• The league will take a break between 19/07 and 20/08/2023 so that MLS teams can participate, along with Liga MX teams, in the Leagues Cup organised by Concacaf
• Dates for the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs, which will see the top teams in each conference play each other at the end of the season, will be announced in 2023

During the regular season, the 29 MLS teams (up from 28 in 2022) will each play 34 matches:
• The 15 Eastern Conference teams will play two matches against each intra-conference opponent (28 matches) and one match against six different Western Conference opponents (6 matches)
