2022 World Cup: adidas, equipment supplier of the world champions for the 7^th time in its history

Argentina's 2022 World Cup triumph over France (3-3, 4-2 on penalties) makes them the seventh world champions equipped by adidas after the winners of the 1974, 1978, 1990, 1998, 2010 and 2014 editions of FIFA's competition, according to data gathered by News Tank Football as of 21/12/2022. This number is more than any other equipment manufacturer.

Athleta, a Brazilian brand that supplied Brazil's kits for the 1958, 1962 and 1974 editions of the World Cup, is second in the ranking, ahead of Nike (2002 and 2018), Umbro (1966 and 1994) and Le Coq Sportif (1982 and 1986). Puma supplied Italy's kit for their 2006 title, while Leuze was the first brand to officially supply Germany's kit for their 1954 World Cup victory.
