Premier League: Swansea City AFC confirms the existence of contacts with investors

"The club is talking to a number of parties who have expressed an interest in possibly investing in the club in some form," stated Swansea City AFC (Barclays Premier League) on 28/10/2014.

“This includes commercial activities, plus the possibility of assisting with the likes of stadium expansion (Liberty Stadium) and training ground developments," stated the club. “Part of that investment may eventually include the exchange of a ‘small’ percentage of club shares."

  • Martin Morgan, a Welsh businessman and owner of a hotel chain, and his wife Louisa Morgan are the majority shareholders of Swansea City AFC with 22.5% stake in the club.

    • Swansea City Supporters Society, an association of supporters of the club, 20%;
    • Huw Jenkins (Wales), president of the club, 12.5%;
    • Robert Davies (Wales), 10%.
