"My adventure at Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) is coming to an end. In 2023, I will resume my career as a journalist. Thank you to all those who have trusted me, especially the fans, with whom sharing these moments of emotion and passion was a great joy. Good luck to the club for the future," said Jacques Cardoze on Twitter on 29/12/2022.

The journalist had been OM's director of communications since 15/06/2021. He had succeeded Gregoire Klopp, the club's "communication & impact director" from April 2020 to February 2021.

"Former France Télévisions correspondent in Washington (USA), Jacques Cardoze, 51, began his career as a correspondent for France Télévisions in Marseille (FRA). For many years, he was also a major reporter for the public channel and a permanent correspondent in London (ENG), then in Washington from 2013 until 2018. He was also presenter and editor-in-chief of the programme 'Complément d'Enquête' on France Télévisions," explained Olympique de Marseille when he was appointed.
