2022 World Cup runners-up Kylian Mbappé (Paris Saint-Germain, Ligue 1 Uber Eats), 4^th, and Olivier Giroud (AC Milan, Serie A TIM), 9^th, are among the Top 10 favourite personalities in France in 2022, according to the annual ranking by the French weekly newspaper the Journal du Dimanche (JDD), published on 01/01/2023.

Dominated by the singer Jean-Jacques Goldman, this ranking includes five other sports personalities or coaches:
• 11^th: Antoine Griezmann (Club Atlético de Madrid, LaLiga Santander)
• 15^th: Zinédine Zidane (former coach of Real Madrid CF, LaLiga Santander)
• 18^th: Hugo Lloris (Tottenham Hotspur FC, Premier League)
• 23^rd: Didier Deschamps (French national football team coach)
• 24^th: Teddy Riner (judoka).

In 2021, Teddy Riner was in 8^th place in the JDD's men's ranking (which had produced a separate men's and women's Top 25). Zinédine Zidane was 17^th, Kylian Mbappé 19^th and Antoine Griezmann 25^th.
