Premier League: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter accounts of the 20 clubs (January 2023)

The 20 clubs participating in the 2021-22 Premier League season have just over 789 million fans on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 02/01/2022. This total enables the Premier League to maintain its position as the most popular European Top 5 league, all four social networks combined, ahead of LaLiga Santander, with an average of 39.5 million fans per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with more than 190 million followers, 40% of which are on Facebook alone, followed by Chelsea FC, who have more than 122 million in total, and Liverpool FC, with just over 116 million.

Manchester City FC was the English club that experienced the best growth in absolute value during December 2022, with nearly 3 million additional followers, the majority of which were on TikTok.

In terms of percentage growth, Nottingham Forest FC posted the best growth among the Premier League clubs on TikTok (+28%) and Instagram (+14.5%), while Brighton & Hove Albion FC posted the best growth on Twitter (+5.2%) and Facebook (+3.9%).
