Top 100 TV audiences in France 2022: 32 sports programmes, including 21 FIFA World Cup games

Six of the seven matches of the French national team during the 2022 World Cup were among the seven best television audiences in France in 2022 (the Tunisia - France match was ranked 19^th), according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie.

Argentina - France (3-3 after extra time, 4-2 on penalties), the final of the World Cup in Qatar, posted the best audience of the year and of all time, all channels and programmes combined, with an average of 24.08 million viewers and an audience share of 80% on the private free-TV channel TF1, on Sunday 18/12/2022 (kick-off at 16:00 CET).

In total, 32 sports programmes were among the 100 most watched programmes on television in 2022, including 24 football matches (11 of the French men's team) and four rugby matches of the French national team.
