AS Roma: club signs the United Nations Sports for Climate Action Framework

AS Roma (Serie A TIM) have signed the UN Sports for Climate Action Framework, announced the club on 28/12/2022.

According to the club, "the aim of the framework is to achieve a clear trajectory for the global sports community to deliver lasting changes and use the unifying power of sport to drive climate awareness and action. By signing the framework, the club commits to achieving specific climate goals in its sustainability strategy, including halving its emissions by 2030, as well as adhering to five key principles:
• Undertake systematic efforts to promote greater environmental responsibility
• Reduce overall climate impact
• Educate for climate action
• Promote sustainable and responsible consumption
• Advocate for climate action through communication."

The club says it has implemented a series of environmental initiatives across its infrastructure to reduce plastic and energy consumption, improve the thermal insulation of its facilities and conserve natural resources.
