Eurosport France: several audience records in 2022 the "best year for 10 years"

Eurosport achieved several audience records on its channels in 2022, constituting its "best year for 10 years in France", according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie communicated by the pay-TV group on 03/01/2023.

A total of eight million viewers watched the 2022 editions of the Giro d'Italia (from 06 to 29/05/2022), the Tour de France (from 01 to 24/07/2022) and the Vuelta (from 09/08 to 11/09/2022) on the Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 channels. The Tour de France posted an all-time audience record on Eurosport 1 with 4 million cumulative viewers, while the Vuelta achieved its best audience since 2014 with an average of 173,000 viewers on the group's pay-TV channels. This was "the best season ever for cycling," said the group.

The 2022 Australian Open recorded 3.2 million cumulative viewers on Eurosport in France.
