Villarreal CF: inauguration of the renovated Estadio de la Cerámica on 31/12/2022

Villarreal CF (LaLiga Santander) inaugurated the renovated Estadio de la Cerámica (25,354 capacity) during the club's home game versus Valencia CF (2-1) on Matchday 15 of the Spanish Championship, in the presence of 19,247 spectators, on 31/12/2022.

The works, which began in May 2022, are due to be completed in the first quarter of 2023, at a total cost of €50m. The renovation includes:
• the complete covering of the stands
• the renovation of a stand to completely enclose the stadium
• the installation of two big screens and a new sound system
• the addition of lighting for the pitch and in the stadium sections
• the construction of new reception areas, the renovation of a restaurant and the relocation of the Villarreal CF museum

"The club will also reaffirm its commitment to renewable energies, with the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof for the self-consumption of the stadium, with the aim of generating a positive environmental impact," said Villarreal CF.
