LaLiga Santander: €1.426bn in TV rights collected by clubs in 2021-22; €160.85m for Real Madrid

LaLiga Santander clubs received €1.426bn in net revenue from the Spanish league's audiovisual rights for the 2021-22 season, according to data published by the Spanish league in December 2022.

Of the €1.601bn in total rights revenue, €1.585bn was redistributed to LaLiga Santander (20 clubs) and LaLiga SmartBank (22 clubs), from which 8.5% was deducted for solidarity payments (compensation fund for relegated clubs, payments to LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation, development of women's football, etc.). Also subtracted are the "revenues and obligations resulting from the agreement between LaLiga and CVC (LaLiga Impulso), concluded on 10/12/2021," explained the Spanish League.

With €160.85m, Real Madrid CF (Spanish champions in 2021-22) was the club that received the largest amount, ahead of FC Barcelona (€160.13m) and Club Atlético de Madrid (€130.31m). RCD Mallorca, Rayo Vallecano de Madrid and Elche CF each received the lowest amount (€45.86m), which was 3.51 times lower than that received by Real Madrid.
