FC Barcelona's (LaLiga Santander) objective is "to return to the new Spotify Camp Nou (Barcelona, ESP) in November 2024 with 70% of the total capacity available, which will however generate a loss of revenue of €38m for the 2024-25 season," said Joan Laporta, president of the club, to the Catalan radio station Ser Catalunya on 05/01/2023.

"During the 2023-24 season, which we will play entirely at the Montjuïc Stadium, we will have less income, with an estimated loss of €93m. We will make up for this in other ways. The financing of the Espai Barça project, which is due to be completed in 2025-26, is designed in such a way that we will only start to repay the money borrowed when the project generates its own profits. There is no rush. In 2025-26, when the work is finished, we will have €151m in revenue from the stadium."
