"The current transfer system is responsible for most of the ills of our sport. It has created the current inflationary bubble, denounced by all parties, by all those who work to preserve the future of football and who have no short-term view, as well as a large number of leaders. (...) The transfer system is the sole responsibility of these disorders that affect all professional footballers. That is why FIFPro will not stop fighting the transfer system, "said Philippe Piat, president of FIFPro (International Federation of Professional Footballers), at the congress of the international union in Tokyo (JPN) on 28/10/2014.

"We decided to initiate legal proceedings against a system (of transfers) because we are obligated to take legal action per our responsibilities vis-à-vis our members since FIFPro was established in 2001," added Philippe Piat.
