esports/LFP: 2023 eLigue 1 Uber Eats from 17/01 to 31/05/2023 with 13 teams, including 3 new ones

The seventh edition of the eLigue 1 Uber Eats, the LFP's official professional esports championship played on the football video game FIFA 23 (EA Sports), will take place from 17/01 to 31/05/2023 with 13 teams, announced the body on 05/01/2023.

Organised with the agency UniTeam, the competition will be played exclusively on the PS5, a console from PlayStation, the event's official partner. 13 teams will take part, compared to 10 in 2022. AJ Auxerre, Clermont Foot 63 and Espérance Sportive Troyes Aube Champagne are the three new participants. The LFP will allocate a total of €60,000 to the top four teams to support their esports activities.

The competition will be broadcast in full and exclusively on the platform Twitch on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 18:30 CET. The regular season, which will run from 17/01 to 03/05/2023, will see all teams play each other once, over three matches (1v1, 1v1, 2v2). The six best teams will qualify for the playoffs which will take place from 16 to 24/05/2023. The final will be held on 31/05/2023.
