Nottingham Forest FC (Premier League) have confirmed "by mutual consent, Dane Murphy will step down as CEO in order to pursue other opportunities. The club would like to thank Dane for his service and wish him well for the future," announced the English club on 09/01/2023.

The 36-year-old American became CEO of Nottingham Forest in July 2021 after having held the same position at Barnsley FC (Sky Bet League One) from July 2019 to June 2021.

"I would be remiss to not acknowledge those who helped make my time at the club successful. Thank you, first and foremost, to Evangelos Marinakis (owner of the club) who allowed me to realise a dream I did not know I had. To Socrates Kominakis, Miltos Marinakis, and chairman Nicholas Randall KC, thank you for believing in my stewardship," said Dane Murphy.
