Twitter: Real Madrid and Barcelona both have over 13 million followers

Real Madrid CF (Liga BBVA) is the most followed club on Twitter with more than 13.38 million followers as of 03/11/2014.

Real Madrid remains ahead of FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA), which has 13.09 million followers on Twitter, and Arsenal FC (Barclays Premier League) with 4.73 million followers.

Beşiktaş JK had the highest growth rate on Twitter in October 2014 (5.8% more followers in one month)

• With additional 50,000 followers in October 2014, the Turkish club Beşiktaş JK (Süper Lig) has the highest rate of growth of the European Top 20.
  • Beşiktaş is the 18^th most followed European club on Twitter with 910,000 subscribers
• Three Turkish clubs (all in Istanbul) are in the European Top 20 (Galatasaray SK, Fenerbahçe SK and Beşiktaş JK).
