Doha Goals: "The success proves the correctness of the strategy of Qatar" (A. bin Nasser Al-Thani)

"The objective of the Doha Goals forum is to identify, monitor and achieve the best initiatives in the fields of sport and social and economic development," said Sheikh Faisal bin Mubarak Al-Thani, CEO of the forum in opening session at the Aspire Dome in Doha (Qatar) on 03/11/2014.

"The role of sport in national and regional policies" is the theme of the third edition of the Doha Goals forum, held from 03 to 05/11/2014. Doha Goals is intended as a platform for reflection, discussion and taking initiatives for international leaders working for social and economic progress through sport.

"The success of the Doha Goals proves the correctness of the strategy of Qatar to place sport at the center of its policy," said Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Qatar. "Our idea of sport goes beyond sports entertainment. Sport is a vehicle for promoting social justice, peace and cooperation between countries."
