DAZN: 1.2 billion hours of sports broadcast & 15 million subscribers worldwide in 2022

DAZN recorded 1.2 billion hours of sports broadcasting and a total of 15 million subscribers to the streaming service worldwide in 2022, announced the OTT sports platform on 12/01/2023.

"DAZN is live in 225 countries and territories" and has "added over 75 rights to the platform over the past 12 months," said the company. Notably, the platform holds, together with telecoms operator Telefonica, the main media rights to LaLiga Santander in Spain over the 2022-2027 cycle (five games of equal choice per matchday each, three matchdays per season broadcast exclusively by Telefonica except for one free-to-air match co-broadcast with Mediapro), and extended its rights to the Champions League in Germany over 2024-2027 (in full except for the Tuesday fixture) on 16/12/2022.

The streaming service also holds the rights in Italy to all Serie A TIM matches (including 7 out of 10 on an exclusive basis) over the 2021-2024 cycle, as well as the global broadcasting rights (excluding MENA and China) to the UEFA Women's Champions League over the 2021-2025 cycle.
