Australian Open 2023: all you need to know regarding broadcasters in Australia and internationally

The 2023 Australian Open Tennis Championships, to be held at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia from Monday 16/01/2023 to Sunday 29/01/2023, will be broadcast exclusively in Australia via the various channels of Australia's privately owned media group Nine Entertainment. 

All matches from the tournament will be available live and on demand on Nine's channels and its OTT platform Stan. Nine Entertainment extended its exclusive Australian broadcast rights to the Australian Open for the 2025-2029 cycle on 11/11/2022. The rights have been extended for a total of AU$425m (€273m) over five years, or AU$85m per year (€54.5m). Nine has held the broadcasting rights to the Australian Open since 2019. These rights were previously held by the free-to-air television group Seven.

In Europe, the media and entertainment conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery, parent company of the pay-TV group Eurosport, extended its broadcasting rights to the Australian Open until 2031, on 07/09/2021. Eurosport has been broadcasting this Grand Slam tournament since 1995.
