Australia & New Zealand 2023: +500,000 tickets already sold for the Women's World Cup

"FIFA is delighted to announce that over half-a-million tickets have been sold to fans from more than 120 countries for the ninth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, taking place this July and August (from 20/07 to 20/08/2023) in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand," announced the international federation on 17/01/2023.

"The most sought-after match of the tournament being the 20 August Final at Stadium Australia in Sydney/Gadigal (AUS, on 20/08/2023)," added the body.

"Ticket sales for the Women's World Cup 2023 are off to a great start and it's not just home fans in Australia and New Zealand purchasing tickets! Fans residing in the United States of America, England, Qatar, Germany, China PR, Canada, the Republic of Ireland and France are the top 10 purchasers tickets so far," said Fatma Samoura (SEN), FIFA secretary general.

The opening ceremony and first match (New Zealand - Norway, Group A) of this first 32-team Women's World Cup will take place at Eden Park in Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau (NZL) on Thursday 20/07/2023.
