Supercoppa Italiana: competition to be broadcast in 165 territories using innovative technology

The Supercopa Italiana (EA Sports Supercup), AC Milan (2021-22 Serie A TIM winners) - FC Inter Milan (2021-22 Coppa Italia winners), which will be played at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), will be broadcast in more than 165 territories and by more than 35 foreign broadcasters, on Wednesday 18/01/2023 (kick-off at 20:00 CET), announced the Lega Serie A, organiser of the competition, on 16/01/2023.

Several technological innovations will be presented during the match, including:
• The use, for the first time by the Lega Serie A, of semi-automated offside technology.
• The use of a drone "which will provide spectacular aerial shots, which will then be enhanced by special info-graphics in virtual reality relating to statistical data and the performance of the players on the pitch."
• The use of a steadycam, which "will offer new and original points of view."
• The establishment of a "a televised production" with "more than 30 cameras, the highest number of cameras ever used by Lega Serie A in a match played abroad."
