Deloitte Money League 2023: €9.2bn (+13%) generated by the Top 20 European clubs in 2021-22

The total revenue generated by Europe's Top 20 clubs in 2021-22 was €9.2bn, an increase of 13% compared to the €8.2bn recorded in 2020-21, according to the UK office of audit and consultancy firm Deloitte in the 2023 edition of its Football Money League, which details the revenue (excluding transfers) of the "Top 20 revenue generating clubs" in Europe in the 2021-22 season on 19/01/2023.

With €731m in revenue, Manchester City FC (Premier League) holds the top spot for the second consecutive season. The Mancunian club is ahead of Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander, €713.8m) and Liverpool FC (€701.7m), who have made the biggest jump in the Top 20 (up four places, +€97m compared to 2018-19).

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga, €653.6m), third in the 2022 edition (€611.4m at the time), dropped three places to sixth, behind Manchester United FC (Premier League, €688.6m) and Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, €654.2m).

The Top 20 is made up of 11 Premier League clubs (a record), three from LaLiga Santander, three from the Serie A TIM, two from the Bundesliga and one from the Ligue 1 Uber Eats.
