England: attendance record over eight days expected at Wembley, with over 120,000 spectators

Wembley Stadium (capacity 90,000) in London (ENG) is expected to host over 120,000 spectators during the week from 15 to 23/11/2014, announced the FA (English Football Association) on 03/11/2014. This would be a new record attendance over a week for the stadium inaugurated in 2007, said the Federation.

Two fixtures of the male and female teams of England are planned for this week, with more than 100,000 tickets already sold. The men's team will face Slovenia in the qualifiers for Euro 2016 (Matchday 4 of Group E) on 15/11/2014. More than 80,000 spectators are expected to attend that match, according to the Federation. The England women's team will play its first match at Wembley in its history against Germany (friendly match) on 23/11/2014. 45,000 spectators are expected to attend the fixture, said the FA.
