La Liga: Real Sociedad dismiss manager Jagoba Arrasate

The Spaniard Jagoba Arrasate has been dismissed as manager of Real Sociedad (Liga BBVA), stated the Spanish club on 03/11/2014.

Jagoba Arrasate, 36 years old, had succeeded Philippe Montanier on 01/07/2013. After ten matchdays, Real Sociedad ranks 19th in La Liga with 6 points (1 win, 3 draws and 6 losses). The Basque club are two points behind Elche CF for 17th and first non-relegation place (8 points).

Assistant coaches Asier Santana and Imanol Alguacil will run the daily sporting activities of the club until a new manager is named, stated Real Sociedad.

  • Valencia CF: Juan Antonio Pizzi, sacked on 02/07/2014, replaced by Nuno Espírito Santo.
  • Levante UD: José Luis Mendilibar, sacked on 21/10/2014, replaced by Lucas Alcaraz.
