Amazon: a global distribution agreement with DAZN to broadcast competitions on Prime Video

The American e-commerce group Amazon has entered into a "long-term" global agreement with DAZN to distribute content from the OTT sports service on the Prime Video platform, announced DAZN on 19/01/2023.

"DAZN will launch today in Spain and Germany through Prime Video Channels. Rollout will continue through 2023, with Japan next and more markets to follow shortly after," said the platform. Sports competitions to which DAZN holds the rights in these territories are now available on Prime Video via an additional monthly subscription of €29.99.

• In Spain, DAZN holds the broadcasting rights to LaLiga Santander (five games per matchday, 2022-2027), Formula 1 (since 2021) and Moto GP (2023-2027).
• In Germany, the streaming platform broadcasts several sports competitions including the Champions League (all matches except the Tuesday night game, 2021-2027), the Bundesliga (full and exclusive coverage of Friday and Sunday matches, 2021-2025) and LaLiga Santander (2021-2026).
