Matchday 16 of the 2022-23 Bundesliga season, the German league's first matchday after the 2022 World Cup, drew an average of 44,363 spectators per game, from Friday 20 to Sunday 22/01/2023. The average fill rate was 94.5%.

Borussia Dortmund - FC Augsburg (4-3) on Sunday 22/01/2023 (kick-off at 15:30 CET) was the game that posted the best attendance with another sold-out match at Signal Iduna Park (81,365 capacity).
