AS Monaco FC (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) and its president Dmitry Rybolovlev (RUS) "firmly deny the supposed intention of a return of Vadim Vasilyev (RUS)," said the club on 20/01/2023.

On 20/01/2023, the French daily L'Équipe reported that the Russian owner was considering bringing back his compatriot and former vice-president (from March 2013 to February 2019) as CEO, as part of a reorganisation of the club. Since his departure from AS Monaco, Vadim Vasilyev has been managing director of VV Consulting, a sports management and consultancy agency.

"On the contrary, the club would like to reaffirm its full support for its management team, around CEO Ben Lambrecht and sporting director Paul Mitchell," said AS Monaco.
